How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World
How to: Hobby

I've received several messages lately about Hepburn-approved hobbies. Now I can't speak for Miss Audrey herself, but I've polled several very classy friends and come up with a little list of things that sound like a whole lot of fun to do in your free time. Here are the top three favorites:

Cooking
Everybody keeps telling me that cooking is an art (I have yet to find it to be anything more than a necessary service I perform for my family 21 times a week), but I know that lots of people love it, including my sister Abby. For the rest of us who have yet to cross the threshold into enjoyable cooking, here are a couple places that offer cooking classes: Whole Foods Market, Viking Cooking School

Knitting/Crocheting
My friend LeeAnn is an unbelievable knitter (knitter? knitee? crochetist?). She's made my babies beautiful blankies that are definitely not your grandma's kind of crochet. She also says it's easy once you get the hang of it. Other people tell me that knitting and crocheting are making a hobby comeback, big time. Why not get on board?! Learn to Crochet

Painting
Art was always my favorite class in school. My own artistic skills aren't anything to write home about, but it's just such a fun, creative outlet, who cares if you're good or not?! My friend Tania is actually amazing and she agrees: you don't necessarily need a brush, watercolors, and a blank canvas to be painting. Try splashing an image onto an old window, vase, or mailbox. Happy hobbying!
