I Love You Bonnie Hunt

I'm officially in love with the Bonnie Hunt Show. Just look at how cute she is! I was working from home today and took in some good ol' daytime TV, and was reminded of how much I love her. Plus, I'm gonna go ahead and say that she has the best set of any talk show.

Give me one other show where guests get to enter from that second-story staircase. Bonnie, if you're listening, can we be friends? I would be perfectly happy just hanging around your set. I promise it won't be weird.

In other news, I would give my right arm for a piece of chocolate right about now. So, without further ado, I'm off to get my 4:00 sugar fix.

Hot Hepburn Hint #1

Happy Saturday! I'm excited to post the first-ever Hot Hepburn Hint today. Again, this will be a weekly feature, so be sure to check back next week for another one. Well, you should check back before that anyway just to read my witty and inspiring posts. Without further ado, this week's Hot Hepburn Hint is to GIVE.

In this economy, our tendency is to cinch up our wallets and hold on to our assets like grim death. But I would challenge you to go against the grain and give this week. People will be shocked and curious to know what's different about you! Here's a couple simple ways to jump-start your week as a modern Mother Theresa.

1. Pay for the person's lunch behind you in the drive-thru line.
2. Clean out your closet and make a trip to Goodwill with your findings.
3. Sign up to "adopt" a child through an organization like World Vision. It's usually only about $30/month - just forego one movie night a month and you'll have your necessary dough.

See, now didn't that feel good? : )

Special Delivery

Hi friends. I received my final proof pages for "How to Be a Hepburn" via UPS today, which is exciting because it means the book is in the final stages of becoming, well, a book I guess. My husband is currently disgruntled with UPS and FedEx delivery people, saying they don't "hang around and wait" for you to saunter to the door in your jammies like they used to. Now, it seems they slow down just long enough to hang their head out the window and throw the package at your house, in hopes that the thud will be loud enough to wake you from your slumber and lure you to the front door. But, with all the horrors in the world today, I'd probably try to avoid possible confrontations with strangers in their bunny slippers, too, and simply kick those fragile boxes out of the truck and just keep driving.

In other news, I will be posting a weekly "How to Be a Hepburn" tip, so stay tuned for that. But, for now, I'm off to put the finishing touches on this book, then mail it back to the fine folks at Hachette via special delivery : )
